What the hell happened last night?

If you find yourself asking that question on the morning after the legislative session ended, we’re convening a panel of four state lawmakers who hopefully can explain.

From our initial announcement about the June 27 Hearst Media Center event breaking down the session that was:

Join a panel of Capital Region lawmakers as they look back on the highs and lows of a singular year for New York state government, from a raucous budget negotiation to the issues raised by the arrival of President Donald Trump’s administration, and much more.

The bipartisan, bicameral panel at the Hearst Media Center will include Sens. Neil Breslin, D-Bethlehem, and Jim Tedisco, R-Glenville, as well as Assembly members Patricia Fahy, D-Albany, and Steve McLaughlin, R-Schaghticoke. (McLaughlin has announced his interest in seeking the office of Rensselaer County executive, which will be vacated at the end of the year by Republican Kathy Jimino.)

The discussion runs from 8-10 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, starting with continental breakfast and reception. Admission is $15, or $5 for students.

The Hearst Media Center is located at the Times Union’s headquarters at 645 Albany Shaker Road.
